Note: as Wunderlist was acquired by Microsoft and is therefore not available after 6th of May 2020, feel free to check out an alternative task manager like Trello, Evernote, Omnifocus, Asana or any other. It provides the right features in an easy-to-use way that will actually make your life easier, not see you spend more time organizing than actually doing anything. If you are using the mail import feature of Wunderlist, you can speed up the tasks with Note To Self Mail.The app creates tasks in Wunderlist in seconds. Wunderlist is an awesome way to organize your life. Spend less time organizing, more time doing But it does work across platforms and devices (tablet, PC and smartphone), which is a plus. Sometimes notifications take a while to come through. Syncing is supposed to happen in real time (connection permitting), but it's not always reliable. ![]() Its ease of use is what makes it stand out, you don't need to play around to get the hang of it or discover useful and important features, it just works and that is something I don't say as much as I would like. Some task management apps can actually make organizing your life more of a headache with their complicated controls, and persistent and annoying notifications. Tap the person you want to assign the task to. You’ll see a list of people you’ve shared the list with. Tap Assign to at the top of the next screen. Notifications, conversations, settings and search all use icons commonly associated with these features (check out the screenshots to see what I mean) so there's no confusion about what you're doing. Share the list containing the task you want to assign using the steps above. 2) Tap More on the bottom right and pick either Email List or Print List and follow the prompts to complete the action. 1) Select the list you want from the main app screen. Email or print lists from the Wunderlist app. Wunderlist is extremely easy to use: one tap to add an item and one swipe or tap to remove it. Note: You can also choose specific tasks instead of entire lists and choose to Email or Print Selected To-Do. If you upgrade to the Pro version, you get more features, such as the ability to add files of any size to the lists, assign an unlimited amount of tasks, create subtasks if you need to go into smaller steps and choose from extra backgrounds. And if you're really proud of your list, Wunderlist lets you publish it for the whole world to see. It also shows you completed items so you can keep a track of completed tasks, allows you to prioritize items by starring them and notifies you when there has been activity on your list (unless you chose to put a 'do not disturb' on it). This could be something like "when do you think you will be able to finish that task?" or "I could do with some help". The Conversations feature lets you comment on an action in a list. The Activity Center tab keeps you up to date with their progress, as well as providing a log for previous activity. You can add people to your lists via their email addresses and then assign them tasks. The great thing about Wunderlist is it's not just a tool for you to use, it's designed for collaboration. Although currently it doesn't sync with your phone or tablet's calendar. Then you can create an unlimited number of tasks within these lists (or subtasks in the pro version) and add completion dates, alarms and notifications (push or email) if you choose. Millions of tasks are created every single day, allowing people to get more done. Most importantly to me, though, is Wunderlist’s syncability factor: Create it on your PC or Mac, read it on the web, your tablet, your phone, or your laptop.Initially, Wunderlist provides you with a range of categories to help you make relevant lists, which includes groceries, travel and movies to watch. Wunderlist is one of the most popular task management applications in the world. Wunderlist has more features than you can think of, many of which are overkill for my down-home lists, but for collaboration, reminders, and quick adds to lists via email and the web, they certainly have your needs covered. While I don’t mind using Tasks in my Outlook program for regular To-Dos, or Out of Milk for a quick grocery list, I found that I wanted something more efficient and separate when it came to less routine lists for things like travel packing or Christmas cards. I also wanted an app for my phone (to do the actual checking off) which had a desktop application where I could set up the lists easily without having to thumb-create everything on my smartphone. I may not be a mover or a shaker but, Dang it, I always have things to do and I like making To-Do lists (I may not even complete all those tasks, but that’s another story!). ![]()
